Frederick Stretch Therapy - This gentle and pleasant passive stretching technique involves the client laying in passive positions while the therapist (that’s me) gently moves your body through a series of interesting shapes with respect to your unique geometry and needs. We are stretching the fascia (fash-uh), connective tissue, that surrounds your muscles. This will not feel like a “typical stretch” on a level from 1-10 your sensations are typically between a 3 & 7. This technique utilizes traction - gentle and slow pulling on the tissue to let it release. It is very helpful for issues like disc herniation as well as general feelings of constriction, heaviness, and "stuckness" in the body.
